IOU Scholarship Application Process

We have full scholarships on offer with the Islamic Online University. All Studies are done online. Studying can be done from anywhere or any place if you have access to a computer and internet.

Minimum entry requirements


The minimum requirement for entry into the degree courses is a High School Diploma or National Senior Certificate - Matric

Students who do not have a National Senior Certificate (NSC), but wish to pursue a degree programme, can obtain an internationally recognised High School Diploma in six months with
Pass GED Academy or Online GED South Africa


How to apply


1.
Visit the Islamic Online University website at: www.islamiconlineuniversity.com

2.
View degree courses on offer. These Include:

a. Education
b. Psychology
c. IT
d. Business Administration
e. Islamic Finance
f. Islamic Studies
g. Arabic Language

3. If you have a national senior certificate, matric, then proceed to step 4 - However if you do not, then
follow the steps outlined further down below

4.
Register for the Free diploma - You will need an email address

5. Complete the following 3 courses:

a. IIS011 – Foundations of Islamic Studies I
b. IIS014 – Foundation of Islamic Studies II
c. IIS012 – The Moral Foundations of Islamic Culture

6. Thereafter, register for your desired degree on the
IOU website - Please note the scholarship is only for degree courses. Your fees will be paid at a later stage by the scholarship department

7.
Submit the following documents to us via email:

a. Application Form
b. ID document
c. Photo
d. Affidavit - Proof that you cannot afford the fees. A template can be obtained from us
e. Letter of Recommendation from any IOU learning centre, masjid, organization, etc
f. Matric certificate
g. Proof of completion of 3 courses, refer to point 5 above
h. Student number for degree and diploma course

8. You will receive confirmation of your scholarship approval via email


How to apply should you not have a matric certificate


4.
Register for the Free diploma - You will need an email address

5. Complete the entire free diploma: you may select any 36 courses

6. Register for your desired degree on the
IOU website - Please note your course will be through the Open Education Program. Your fees will be paid at a later stage by the scholarship department

7.
Submit the following documents to us via email:

a. ID document
b. Photo
c. Affidavit - Proof that you cannot afford the fees. A template can be obtained from us d. Letter of Recommendation from any IOU learning centre, masjid, organization etc
e. Matric certificate
f. Proof of completion of free diploma, refer to point 5 above
g. Student number for degree and diploma course

8. You will receive confirmation of your scholarship approval via email

1. The scholarships are only for the Islamic Online University, not for study at any other institution

4. Should you be able to afford the fees, you can apply directly for your degree program on the
IOU website - In this instance you do not need to complete the free diploma as a prerequisite
